The Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday issued a notification announcing the recruitment of 2,453 candidates as cadre officers. Earlier, the Public Service Commission (PSC) had recommended the recruitment of 2,520 officers, meaning 67 candidates have been dropped in the final recruitment order.
The newly recruited officers have been asked to report for duty at their respective ministries and departments on 28 April.
Among the new recruits, 321 are administrative cadre officers, 153 are family planning officials, 100 are police officers, and the rest belong to other cadres.
More than four lakh aspirants had applied for recruitment under 41st BCS. Of these, only about 21,000 passed the preliminary exam, while 13,00 passed the subsequent written exam.
