Staff Reporter:

A writ was filed yesterday with the High Court, pleading for its order against all kinds of commercial operations, including restaurant business, in capital’s residential areas.
It also pleaded for High Court direction for bringing real culprits behind the recent Bailey Road blaze that so far claimed lives of 46 people, to justice and providing compensation to the families of the vic-tims.
Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Eunus Ali Akond filed the writ, making the officials concerned includ-ing public works secretary, cabinet secretary, home secretary and RAJUK chairman respondents in the writ.
The writ is likely to be produced before a High Court bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Kazi Zinat Hoque for hearing.
Meanwhile, a separate writ was filed by Advocate Ishrat Jahan for identifying the real culprits behind the deadly Bailey Road inferno that took place on February 29.
