President today goes to UAE, UK for medical checkup

President Mohammed Shahabuddin will leave Dhaka early today for medical checkup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom (UK).
“A VVIP aircraft (Flight No EK – 585) of Emirates Airlines, carrying the President, leave Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at 1am today,” President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told yesterday.
During his visit, the Head of the State is scheduled to have his health checkup in the UAE and subse-quently London.
The President is expected to leave London for home on March 13.
President’s spouse Dr Rebeka Sultana and officials concerned to the Bangabhaban will accompany Presi-dent Shahabuddin during the trip.
