4 people killed in Tangail road mishap

Tangail: Four people were killed when a pick-up van rammed into a CNG autorickshaw on Gorai-Sakhipur regional road at Bashtoil Telipara in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district on Sunday
The deceased were identified as Lutfur Rahman alias Moijuddin, 40, son of Yusuf Mia, Rahima Begum, 45, son of Tara Mia, Akash Mia, 30, son of Bidyut Mia and Nazmul Islam, 34, son of Samej Mia of the upazila.
The accident occurred around 4 pm when the Sakhipur-bound pick-up hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving four people dead on the spot, said Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Mirzapur Police Station.
