Move to frame Net Metering Policy

The government has initiated a move to conduct a study on framing Net Metering Policy, aiming to promote rooftop solar energy across the country.
According to official sources, under the proposed policy, users of rooftop solar power can sell their unconsumed electricity to the government or adjust the bills of conventional electricity use through an exchange arrangement.
