Govt suspends 15% uniform VAT for two years

Dhaka : The proposal for a 15 percent uniform VAT rate, placed by Finance Minister AMA Muhith, on all products and services has been suspended for two years.

The government of Bangladesh will follow the existing multiple rates of value-added tax for the next two years, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has confirmed on Wednesday while speaking at the parliament.
