Bagerhat: A man was slaughtered allegedly by his son at Ali Bazar in Morelganj upazila early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Yunus Ali Hawlader, 70.
Quoting witnesses, Thakur Das Mandal, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Morelganj Police Station, said Yunus's son Lal Miah Hawlader, 45, attacked his father and slaughtered him with a sharp weapon around 4:30 am over family feud.
Later, locals caught Lal Miah and handed him over to police.
Police recovered the body.
