AL on streets to prevent arson

Awami League and its associate bodies are holding processions and rallies after taking to streets with an aim to build strong resistance against BNP-Jamaat’s arson and terrorism during their blockade program, and to give protection of peoples’ lives and properties.
AL and its associate bodies brought out protest processions and rallies in city’s different areas including central office of AL at Bangabandhu Avenue, in front of the National Press Club and Uttar Badda against the BNP-Jamaat’s third times blockade.
Dhaka city south unit of AL, Awami Swechchhasebak League and other associate bodies of the party brought out a protest procession and rally in front of the central office of AL in Bangabandhu Avenue.
AL organizing secretary Afzal Hossain, Dhaka city south AL president Abu Ahmed Mannafi and its general secretary Humayun Kabir, Dhaka city AL former general secretary Shah-e-Alam Murad, joint general secretaries Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi and Morshed Kamal, Swechchhasebak League president Ga-zi Mesbahul Hossain Sachu and its general secretary Afzalur Rahman Babu, among others, were partici-pated in the program.
Besides, Mohila Awami League held a human chain against the BNP-Jamaat’s 48-hour third times block-ade in front of Jatiya Press Club. AL presidium Member Abdur Rahman, Mohila AL president Meher Afroze Chumki, MP, and its general secretary Shabnam Jahan Sheela, among others, were present.
Dhaka city north unit of AL leaders and activists, led by its president Sheikh Bazlur Rahman and its gen-eral secretary S.M. Mannan Kochi, brought out a protest procession and rally in the city’s Badda areas.
Protest processions and rallies were also brought out in the city’s different areas, including Demra, Jatra-bari, Kadamtali, Farmgate, Mirpur, Gabtoli, Azimpur, Shahbagh, Mirpur, Darussalam and Mohammad-pur.
