Chuadanga: A 12-year old boy died after being crushed under the wheels of an ambulance at Gokulkhali Bridge area in Chuadanga’s Alamdanga upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Siam, son of Jumat Ali of Koyradanga village in the upazila and a sev-enth grader of Gokulkhali High School.
The accident occurred around 2:30 pm when he was on his way back home from school.
Quoting locals, police said Siam’s bicycle was hit by the ambulance and crushed under its wheels when he was crossing the road.
Agitated locals blocked the road in the area after his death.
Now road communication is back to normal, said Mizanur Rahman, SI of Hapania Police Camp.
The body has been kept at the morgue and legal proceedings are underway, he added.
