Thakurgaon: A 36-year-old man surrendered after stabbing his wife to death at Podompur Hazipara in Lehemba union of Ranisankail upazila of Thakurgaon early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Rabeya Begum (30), wife of Nazmul Huda, from the same village.
Ranisankail Police Station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Gulfamul Islam confirmed the matter.
According to police and neighbors, while quarrelling with Rabeya, Nazmul started stabbing her.
Later, neighbors took her to the Ranisankail Upazila Health Complex, where duty doctors declared her dead.
Nazmul Huda went to the police station in the morning and surrendered with the weapon he used in the murder.
The incident happened due to a family dispute, and the accused, Nazmul Huda, is under police custody. Legal proceedings are underway against him, said the OC.
