A total of 10 more dengue patients died and 1,357 were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the last 24 hours.
This year’s death toll from the dengue infection mounted to 1,380 while the caseload to 2,76,163 as of Friday, according to a handout of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS).
During the period, four people died in the capital Dhaka and six outside it, according to the handout.
Besides, 355 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 1,002 were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital city.
Some 6267 dengue patients, 1,768 in Dhaka, are now undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the country.
Of the total 2,76,163 patients, 2,68,516 were released after their complete recoveries, added the statement.
The death toll from dengue infection crossed the 1300-mark as the authorities recorded 1,333 dengue deaths between January 1 and October 29 this year
On September 20, Bangladesh witnessed 21 dengue deaths, the highest in a single day this year, and the nation also saw the same highest figure on September 2.
