An international youth dialogue was held in China’s Jiangxi province to explore new opportunities for communication, friendship and practical cooperation among young people across geographical boundaries.
The five-day event was organised under the theme ‘The Power of Youth for a Better World’, with young representatives from Bangladesh and other countries taking part.
The dialogue was organised with support from the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and other institutions.
Jiangxi Vice-Governor Xia Wenyong, CPAFFC Vice-President Sun Xueqing and representatives from different countries attended the opening ceremony.
Mohammad Tawhidur Rahman, chief executive officer of Liliput Essentials, and Dr Mohammad Saiyedul Islam, senior lecturer and researcher at Sanming University, participated in the dialogue as invited guests from Bangladesh.
Titled ‘The Dialogue Between Youth Leaders from Jiangxi and International Friendship Partners at Different Levels 2026’, the event featured discussions on green development, economy and trade, technical education and youth development.
The programme also included visits to industrial enterprises, business networking, assessments of potential projects and cultural activities.
International participants also visited Jiangxi to gain first-hand knowledge of the province’s development. They toured the cities of Ji’an and Fuzhou to observe local developments and explore opportunities for cooperation in the economy, trade, culture and tourism sectors.
More than 100 young representatives from 25 countries, including Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Pakistan, Spain, Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, Ireland, Zambia, Nigeria, New Zealand and Fiji, participated in the five-day event.
