Bus set on fire in city

A passenger bus of ‘Welcome Paribahan’ was set on fire by miscreants in front of Shyamoli square yes-terday.
The incident took place at around 6:00pm in the capital’s Shyamoli area, said Assistant Commissioner (Traffic – Mohammadpur zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammad Imrul.
“Miscreants set the bus on fire in front of Shyamoli Square. The fire was immediately doused with the help of everyone,” said AC Imrul.
No one was injured in the incident.
Earlier on Wednesday, two buses were set on fire in Dhaka’s Mugda and Kafrul area amid the ongoing nationwide three-day blockade called by opposition parties including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.
