Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), in separate anti-narcotics drives, seized 100,000 Yaba tablets from different parts of Ukhiya and Teknaf upazilas in Cox’s Bazar district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB-68 Battalion under Palongkhali BoP conducted a drive in the Ulubunia Majherkati area on Monday and seized 70,000 Yaba tablets, Commanding Officer of BGB Ukhiya Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Zahirul Islam said on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the same BGB members conducted another drive in the Ulubunia West Para Bridge area and seized 10,000 Yaba tablets.
Besides, another BGB team under Whykong BoP conducted a drive in the Kerengaghona area and seized 20,000 Yaba tablets.
The market value of the seized Yaba tablets is Tk 3 crore.
