According to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Dhaka yesterday, the delegation is participating in the SelectUSA Investment Summit being held from May 3 to 6 in Washington, DC.
The delegation comprises 25 business leaders from Bangladesh representing key sectors including ener-gy, technology, agribusiness, engineering and business services.
Hosted by US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, the summit is regarded as the premier platform for foreign direct investment (FDI), bringing together international companies and US economic devel-opment organizations to facilitate business investment and job creation.
This year’s summit coincides with the 250th anniversary celebrations of the United States and will show-case how foreign investment continues to shape the next chapter of American innovation and economic growth.
The initiative is expected to further strengthen economic ties and expand investment opportunities be-tween Bangladesh and the United States, the statement added.
