The interim government yesterday promoted 33 Additional Deputy Inspectors General (Adi-DIG) of police to the rank of Deputy Inspectors General (DIG).
The Home Ministry yesterday, through a gazette notifications signed by its Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman, promoted 31 Adi-DIGs to the rank of DIG. Two more officers were promoted through another gazette notification.
The promoted officials’ are – Commandant of Range Reserve Force (RRF), Dhaka Ali Ajbar Khan, Ad-ditional DIG at the Anti Terrorism Unit (ATU) Md Shahriar, Adi-DIG of the Special Branch (SB) Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Adi. DIG, SB Dr Mohammad Abdul Kader, Adi.DIG of the Criminal Investiga-tion Department (CID) Md Ekramul Habib, Adi.DIG ATU Md Masum Billah Talukder, Adi.DIG SB Md Nazmul Hossain, Adi. DIG police headquarters Md Ashik Sayeed, Joint Commission (JC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Anisur Rahman, Adi.DIG Police headquarters Sarwar Morshed Shamim, Adi. DIG, CID Dr Md Al Mamnul Ansari, Adi.DIG Dhaka range Mohammad Abdul Mabud, Additional Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Abu Rayhan Muhammad Saleh, Adi.DIG SB Mohammad Fayezul Kabir, Adi. DIG Police headquarters Mia Masud Karim, Commandant RRF Chattogram Mohammad Hasan Bari Nur, Adi.DIG SB AKM Mosharaf Hossain Miazi, Additional Commissioner of the Chattagram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Md Humayun Kabir and Commandant RRF Khulna Nawroz Hassan Talukder.
The ministry, through a separate gazette notification, also promoted Joint Commissioner of the DMP Mohammad Enamul Haque and Commandant RRF Sylhet Md Humayun Kabir to the rank of supernu-merary DIGs.
