The Election Commission (EC) has transferred 23 upazila-level officials ahead of the upcoming 13th National Election.
A notification in this regard was issued on Saturday by Md Shahidur Rahman, Assistant Secretary of the EC’s Manpower Management Branch.
According to the notification, 21 election officers and two upazila election officers have been transferred to different upazilas until further notice. The order takes immediate effect in the public interest.
The EC plans to announce the election schedule in the first half of December and hold the polls in the first half of February.
