The 44th Annual Commanders’ Conference of the Regiment of Artillery and the 1st Annual Commanders’ Conference of the Army Air Defence Corps were held on Thursday at the Artillery Centre and School (AC&S) in Halishahar Cantonment, Chattogram.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the event as the chief guest. He was received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 24th Infantry Division and Area Commander of Chattogram, along with the Commandant of the AC&S.
In his address, the army chief highlighted the proud heritage and invaluable contributions of both corps in serving the nation. He urged members to strengthen their capabilities through modern, practical, and forward-looking training to tackle future challenges.
General Waker-Uz-Zaman also discussed technological advancement, research, professional development, and future plans with the officers.
The event was attended by senior military officials, including the GOC of the Army Training and Doctrine Command, director general of the Department of Immigration and Passports, GOCs of the 17th and 24th Infantry Divisions, master general of the Ordnance, chairman of BEPZA, senior staff from the National Defence College (NDC), officers from Army headquarters, the commandant of AC&S, and commanders of artillery and air defence brigades and regiments.
