Fire at Mohammadpur Meena Bazar under control

A fire broke out at a Meena Bazar outlet in the capital’s Mohammadpur Mohammadia Housing Society on Thursday night.

The blaze started around 9:04pm, confirmed a duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Control Room.

On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and tamed the blaze by 9:45pm, the officer said.

No casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire could not be determined immediately.
