At least four died of Dengue and 1,041 fresh cases were detected in the past 24 hours till Tuesday morn-ing, according to the Health Department record.
“During the period, (of the 1,041) 174 patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, 120 in Chatto-gram division, 206 in Dhaka division excluding the capital, 140 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 230 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, 49 in Khulna division, 49 in My-mensingh division, 45 in Rajshahi division, 19 in Rangpur division and nine in Sylhet division, a Direc-torate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year witnessed so far 273 deaths while the dis-ease inflicted 67,464.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
