A delegation from Australia, led by Minister for International Development and Multicultural Affairs Dr Anne Aly, met Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin yesterday at his office in Nir-bachan Bhaban, Agargaon in the capital.
During the meeting, the Australian minister requested the Election Commission (EC) to inform them of any possible areas where Australia could extend assistance for the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.
Speaking to reporters about the meeting, EC Secretariat Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said the delega-tion mainly came on a courtesy call. “They wanted to know about our elections, preparations, and pro-gress. At the same time, they shared their experiences with us,” he added.
