4,000 unarmed ASIs to be recruited soon

The Home Ministry is preparing to recruit 4000 unarmed assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) to increase the capacity of Bangladesh Police.
A letter of the Ministry’s Police Branch-3 to this effect was sent to the Chief Accounts and Finance Of-ficer of the Home Ministry on October 9 last.
Earlier, on September 21, a letter in this regard signed by Kazi Lutful Hasan, Deputy Secretary of the Expenditure Management Division of the Finance Department of the Ministry of Finance was sent to the Public Security Department of the Home Ministry.
The letter said that in order to increase the capacity of Bangladesh Police, the Finance Department has given its consent to creation of 4,000 (Grade-14) posts for Bangladesh Police in the Revenue Depart-ment.
