Three of the cases relate to manslaughter and are filed in Sherpur district, while the remaining nine are concerned with other forms of crimes, the Police Headquarters revealed in a statement on Thursday.

Of the nine lawsuits filed over different offences, one has been registered with the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, one with Barishal Metropolitan Police, three in Chapainawabganj district, and two in Sirajganj district. Two others are being investigated by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Senior police officials are supervising the investigation processes to ensure fairness and effectiveness, the statement added.
