The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday forecast rain or thunder showers with temporary gusty wind at some districts in eight divisions for the next 120 hours commencing from 9:00 am.
“Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions”, the BMD bulletin said.
A trough of low lies over the West Bengal and adjoining areas while, seasonal low lies over the South Bay, BMD release added.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.
Meanwhile, rainfall activity may decrease and temperature may rise further, according to the Met office’s outlook for the next five days.
Today’s sunset will be at 6:21 pm while tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5:34 am in the capital.
Country’s maximum temperature recorded on Friday as 34 degrees Celsius both at Khepupara in Barishal and Khulna district under Khulna Division while today’s (Saturday) minimum temperature recorded as 19.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia under Rangpur division, said a BMD release of signed by meteorologist Dr Muhmmad Abul Kalam Mallik.
