2 people killed in Kushtia road crash

Kushtia: Two people were killed when a bus crashed into a motorcycle on Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway at Bottoil in Sadar upazila of Kushtia district on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Noyon Islam, 25 and Rony, 26, both were workers of Kiam Metal In-dustry.
The accident occurred around 7:30 am when the bus hit the motorcycle carrying Nayan and Rony while they were going to their office, leaving them dead on the spot.
Angered by the accident, local people put up barricades on Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway, creating traffic jams on both sides of the highway, said Joydeb, sub-inspector of Chourhash Police camp.
However, police are trying to bring the situation under control.
