Prime accused detained over murder of Ha-Meem Group GM

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two individuals, including the prime accused, from Gaibandha on Wednesday, over the murder of Ha-Meem Group General Manager Ahsan Ullah.

The detainees are Saiful Islam, Ahsan Ullah’s car driver and the prime accused, and another named Nurunnabi, confirmed RAB officials. They were hiding at a relative’s house in Sundarganj, Gaibandha, officials told reporters.

They have been handed over to RAB-1 in Dhaka. Drives are continuing to nab the other suspects in the murder case.

Earlier, on Tuesday morning, police recovered Ahsan Ullah’s body from Uttara-16 in the capital. Afterwards, his widow Lutfun Nahar filed a murder case.
