The government has appointed 34 lawyers of the Supreme Court as new assistant attorney generals of Bangladesh.
Solicitor Wing of the Law and Justice Division issued two separate gazette notifications in this regard on March 17, Law Ministry sources said.
The newly appointed assistant attorney generals are- Md Arifir Rahman, Khorshed Alam, Md Golam Razib, Md Nurul Huda, Md Al Amin, Sanzida Rahman, Asma Hossain, Md Saidur Rahman (Jaton), Fa-ruk Ahmed, Papiya Sultana, Md Sarwar Alam Chowdhury, Md Fuad Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Mahbuba Taslim Akhi, Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Abdur Rahim, Abu Sadat Md Sayem Bhuiyan, Mo-hammad Delwar Hossain, Biswanath Karmakar, Mohammad Iqbal Hossain Sheikh, Mousumi Akter, Md Raihan Alam, Md Touhidul Islam, Md Mizanur Rahman, Sabina Yasmin Nira, Ashraful Alam, Omar Faruk, Shamsul Islam Mukul, Abul Khayer Khan, Rashedul Hasan Sumon, Qazi Kamrunnesa, Md Qaium, KM Rezaul Feroz (Rintu) and Md Mizanur Rahman.
Signed by solicitor (acting) Sana Md Mahruf Hossain, the notifications said the appointment was made as per article 3 (1) of The Bangladesh Law Officers Order, 1972 (P.O.No. 6 of 1972).
The orders will come into effect immediately.
