Dinajpur: Bodies of a woman and her daughter were recovered from their house in Phulbari upazila of Dinajpur district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Lucky Aktar, 32, and her seven-year-old daughter Moriyam, of Lichu-para area under Eluari union parishad of the upazila.
Phulbari police station’s Inspector (investigation) Shafiqul Islam said on information they recovered the bodies lying on a bed in the house at noon.
UP Chairman Nabiul Islam said on Monday night Lucky, second wife of Mahram Ali, was caught red-handed with a man of the same area with whom she apparently had an extra-marital relationship.
Arbitration was scheduled to be held over the matter on Tuesday morning.
The bodies were sent to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Her husband Mahram was detained.
