Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) foiled an alleged attempt of the members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) to build a barbed-wire fence near the zero point along Dahgram border in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat on Monday.
Subedar Lutfur Rahman, commanding officer of Panbari Company of BGB 51 Battalion, said the members of the Arun Camp of the 6th BSF Battalion of West Bengal attempted to build a barbed-wire fence with iron rod near Sardar Para this morning.
Being informed, BGB officials rushed to the spot and asked the BSF members to stop building the fence.
Later, they stopped their work and left the place.
Subedar Lutfur said the BGB remains vigilant in this regard.
