Staff Reporter:
The nationwide Vitamin A-Plus campaign is set to commence on Saturday, with the aim of administering Vitamin A capsules to children aged between six and 59 months across the country.
As part of the initiative, infants aged 6-11 months will be given blue capsules, while those aged 12-59 months will receive red ones, according to a statement from the Press Information Department (PID).
Under the slogan “Feed Vitamin A, reduce the risk of child mortality,” the campaign will be conducted at all district, upazila, and union levels.
This year, authorities have set a target to distribute Vitamin A-Plus capsules to 22.6 million children through 120,000 Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) centres nationwide.
