2 ‘drug peddlers’ with 2,050 Yaba arrested

Detectives in a drive arrested two suspected drug peddlers along with 2050 pieces of Yaba tablets from Bailey Road area in Dhaka yesterday.
The arrestees were identified as Bappi Mallik, 37 and Rubel Mia, 35.
Tipped off, a team of DB police in a drive arrested the two drug peddlers from in front of Bangladesh Girl Guides Association in Bailey Road around 12:10 pm, said Talebur Rahman, DC (Media) of the DMP.
Police also recovered 2050 Yaba pills worth Tk 6 lakh from their possession.
The arrestees had long been involved in drug peddling, said police.
