The Bangladesh Navy claimed to have arrested 17 men for their alleged involvement in theft during a drive in the outer anchorage of the Bay on Monday.
The law enforcers also recovered sharp weapons from their possessions and seized their boat, said a press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Based on secret information, the law enforcers arrested the 17 persons when they were attempting to steal a boat in South Kutubdia of the Bay.
