Dhaka University’s pro-BNP teachers’ organisation Sada Dal has paid homage to the 1952 Language Movement martyrs marking Amar Ekushey, the Language Martyrs Day and the International Mother Language Day.
Leaders of the organisation, led by Convener Prof Dr Md Morshed Hasan Khan and Joint Conveners Prof Dr Abdus Salam and Prof Dr Md Abul Kalam Sarkar, placed a floral wreath at the Central Shaheed Minar early Friday.
Former Joint Convener of Sada Dal, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Coordinator of the Ekushey Celebration Committee, Prof Dr Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, attended the event.
Among others present were Prof Dr Md Sharif Hossain of the Accounting and Information Systems Dept, Prof Dr Md Mohiuddin of the Institute of Business Administration, History Dept professor and Provost of Sir PJ Hartog International Hall MA Kawsar, Provost of Jagannath Hall Debashish Pal, and assistant proctors Dr Muha. Rafiqul Islam, Dr AKM Nur Alam Siddiqui, Prof Dr Abu Asad Chowdhury, Dr Enamul Haque Sajib, and Dr Shantu Barua.
