Two killed as ambulance hits truck in Ctgm

Chattogram: Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Faujdarhat in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Anwar Mia, 62, and Rahima Begum, 60, both residents of Nara-yanganj.
According to highway police, three microbuses from Narayanganj were heading towards Cox’s Ba-zar and one of them crashed into a stationary truck near Faujdarhat Cadet College in Banglabazar area, leaving Anwar, who was traveling in the microbus, dead and three others injured.
Members of Kumira Fire Service rushed to the scene and took the injured to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where Rahima Begum succumbed to her injuries.
SI Nurul Afsar of Baraoalia Highway Police Station said the bodies were recovered.
The bodies will be handed over to their respective families after necessary formalities, he added.
