DU to relax vehicle movement restrictions for Ekushey Boi Mela

Staff Reporter:

Dhaka University (DU) authorities have announced that they will not set up any barricades for vehicle control for the duration of the Amar Ekushey Boi Mela 2025, throughout the month of February.

This decision aims to facilitate the smooth movement of visitors attending the fair.

The university’s Public Relations Office issued a notice on Friday afternoon, stating that the fair attracts people of all ages and professions from across the country, and ensuring easy access to the event is a priority.

The university authorities have relaxed the vehicle control restrictions at entry points to support the flow of visitors during the fair.

However, the Dhaka Metropolitan Traffic Division will still implement necessary measures for the orderly entry of vehicles at these entry points and ensure proper parking within the university premises.

Besides, the volunteer team of Dhaka University, along with members of the Proctorial Mobile Security Team, will assist the traffic division in managing the situation effectively.

Earlier, the Bangla Academy authorities had requested Dhaka University to take steps to ensure smooth vehicle movement for the fair’s attendees.
