Army chief meets Khaleda Zia

Chief of army staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence in Dhaka on Thursday night.

During his 40-minute visit, Waker-Uz-Zaman inquired about the health condition of the former prime minister and sought her immediate recovery from illness.

The army chief along with his wife went to the BNP chairperson’s residence around 8:30pm when he was welcomed by Maj Gen (retd) Fazle Alahi Akbar, security affairs adviser of Khaleda Zia.
