Govt declares mourning day today

The government yesterday declared a one-day state mourning today at the death of Civil Aviation and Tourism and Land Adviser AF Hassan Ariff.
Hasan Ariff died of cardiac arrest on Friday.
On the day of mourning, the national flag will be hoisted at half-mast at all government, semi-government, and autonomous institutions, educational institutions, all government and private buildings, and Bangladesh missions abroad, a Cabinet Division notification said.
Special prayers will be arranged at all mosques and other places of worship seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of the late adviser of the interim government.
