Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Nahid Islam said that people are experiencing the taste of real victory in the country after the fall of the Awami fascism in 2024.
“Through the victory of 2024, the people are enjoying the taste of real victory as the country is now free from Awami fascism,” he told journalists on Monday after paying glowing tributes to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War by placing wreaths at the National Memorial in Savar, marking the 54th Victory Day.
“Even though, the country’s independence came in 1971, it (the independence) was unprotected. The victory of 2024 has completed our independence,” he said.
Recalling with respect all the martyrs of the struggle for the country’s independence and the July Uprising, the adviser expressed his strong determination to build a new Bangladesh free from fas-cism and hegemony.
