Five more deaths were reported from dengue in the past 24 hours till Saturday morning.
With this, the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh rose to 522 this year.
Among the deaths, three occurred in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and one each in Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.
During the period, 562 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of them, 136 were admitted to hospitals under the DSCC, and 123 under the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
A total of 95,632 dengue cases have been reported since 1 January.
Last year, dengue claimed the lives of 1,705 people, making it the deadliest year on record.
According to the DGHS, there were 3,21,179 cases and 3,18,749 recoveries in 2023.
