The 43rd Annual Commanders Conference of the Army Service Corps (ASC) of the Bangladesh Army was held Thursday at the Army Service Corps Centre and School (ASCC&S) in Jahanabad Cantonment in Khulna.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman was present at the conference as its chief guest, said a press release issued by ISPR.
The army chief delivered speeches addressing the commanders and other officers of the Army Service Corps and exchanged views with them over enhancing the force’s technological capabilities, doing research, increasing members’ professional skills and drafting future plans.
He recalled the sacrifices made by the Corps personnel and other Freedom Fighters in the 1971 Liberation War. He also reflected on the Corps’ contributions in nation building efforts and international missions, while congratulating the force’s present personnel for maintaining a proud history.
Waker-uz-Zaman also urged Army Service Corps service members to always be ready to meet the challenges of 21st century through modern and up-to-date trainings.
Among others, high-ranking officials of Army Headquarters, commanders of all the Army Service Corps units and media figures, were present at the conference.
