58 trainee SIs discharged

Bangladesh Police Academy in Sardah yesterday discharged 58 trainee sub-inspectors (SIs) of the 40th cadet batch for ‘breach of discipline.
“They were relieved from their posts on charges of breaching discipline,” Assistant Inspector General (Media and Public Relations) of Police Headquarters Inamul Haque Sagar told yesterday.
He said the SIs were in training at Sarda Police Academy but engaged anti-disciplinary activities.
Earlier, Sarda Police Academy issued show cause notices against 59 trainees SIs last month on charge of their alleged involvement in anti-discipline activities.
Out of the 59 SIs cadets, 58 cadets were relieved from their posts.
