BGB seizes smuggled goods at Feni border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized smuggled goods worth over Taka 1.02 crore from Feni bor-der areas, said a BGB release signed by Feni Battalion (4 BGB) Commander Mohammad Moshahrraf Hossain yesterday.
“The BGB personnel seized Indian sarees, three-piece, lehengas, Kashmiri shawl and liquor worth about Taka one crore two lakh 33 thousand and five hundred from Feni border area,” the release said.
The seized goods, which illegally entered through the Bangladesh territory, in last two days starting from October 18, were sent to Feni Customs Authority. A legal action is under progress under the Narcotics Control Act.
But none was detained in this connection, the BGB added.
