Another low pressure area is likely to be formed over the Southwest Bay of Bengal during 48 hours from 9am on Sunday, said a Met office bulletin.
“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions during the period,” it said.
Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Bangladesh except Chattogram region and conditions are fa-vourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from rest part of Bangladesh during next 24 hours.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country’s highest 28 mm rainfall was recorded in Dhaka in 24 hrs till 6am yesterday.
