Petrobangla and Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company, have categorically rejected recent media reports about new gas connections and increased gas supply to residential households, terming the news as baseless and a rumor.
In separate press statements, both companies stated that new gas connections and increased gas supply for residential consumers have been suspended for a long time in accordance with government directives.
Meanwhile, some news outlets and social media platforms published reports claiming that new gas connections are being provided and gas supply to residential households is being increased.
The statement claimed the news as blatant baseless and false.
Calling upon the people to remain alert against disinformation, Both Petrobangla and Titas Gas said the fraudsters are misleading the countrymen in many ways.
Both organisations said that the official policy on gas connections remains unchanged and urged the countrymen to verify any information from credible sources before taking any step in this regard.
