Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has sought assistances from the South Korean government for the treatment of the those who were injured in recent movement.
He came up with the request as Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Bangladesh Park Young-sik and Deputy Chief Mission of Korea in Dhaka Jin Hee Baek yesterday visited the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at Moghbazar and exchanged views with Jamaat leaders.
“We discussed the issues related to bilateral interests of the two countries . . . We also expressed our views on how to further advance the friendly relations between the two countries,” Jamaat chief told journalists in briefing, said a release in the evening.
Dr Shafiqur Rahman said discussion has taken place how to take Bangladesh forward and how they can work with the world community for the development, security and progress of the people of Bangladesh, especially how Bangladesh and the Republic of Korea can improve their partnership in this regard.
He said they also discussed how the expatriate Bangladeshis living in Korea can contribute more with their honesty and skills and asked for cooperation so that more Bangladeshis can go to Korea.
The Korean delegation also assured the Jamaat Amir of providing all-out cooperation for Bangladesh, he added.
Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Amir and former MP Prof Mujibur Rahman, Dr. Syed Abdullah Md Taher and Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam, Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, Hamidur Rahman Azad, Maulana Abdul Halim and Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, among others, were present at the event .
