Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Haider issued the order on Tuesday after investigating officer, Sub-inspector Murad Khan of New Market Police Station, sought a 10-day remand.
The deceased’s nephew-in-law, Abdur Rahman filed the case at New Market Police Station on August 21.
The former minister was arrested by a Detective Branch (DB) team from Uttara on Monday afternoon.
The case revolves around the fatal shooting of Abdul Wadud on July 19 in front of gate number 1 of New Market. Following the incident, a murder case was filed against 130 individuals, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and former bridges minister Obaidul Quader.
