Education Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud has warned of breaking down the administration if instability is created in the education sector through forcing the education officials to resign.
“Administration could be collapsed if volatile situation is created through forced resignation of officials of educational institutions,” he said during a meeting with officers of his ministry at the Secretariat yes-terday.
The adviser assured all concerned of taking measures if rational allegations were found against those who were performing their professional duties at different posts of educational institutions.
“The process of recruitment and posting are going on afresh. The transfer and posting of the teachers, officers and employees in the government educational institutions follow rules and regulations. There is no scope to compel them to resign,” he said.
Difficulties would be created in getting salaries and other benefits if the forced resignation will go on, he cautioned.
Mahmud, also Planning Adviser, said, “The expected relations between teachers and students have to be brought back. Dishonoring someone personally is not accepted.”
He underscored the need for maintaining politeness in the educational institutions.
