Three alleged members of the banned militant organisation Ansar Al Islam have been arrested from Dhaka and Chattogram.
The members of Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of police and the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) jointly arrested them on Monday and Tuesday.
They are Siam Shoaib Jeem, 19, Shahidul Islam, 18 and Muntasim Ahmed Tawsib, 18.
A press release issued by the ATU on Thursday revealed the information.
According to the press bulletin, the joint team of the ATU and the DGFI at first captured Jeem from Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital around 10:30pm on Monday.
His information helped them arrest the duo from Chattogram on Tuesday.
The arrestees used to work as mediums between the militants in jails and outside.
A case was filed against the three with Dhaka Railway Police Station on 6 February.
