4 BNP leaders held in Lakshmipur

Four local BNP leaders were arrested in Ramganj of Lakshmipur on Thursday when they were distributing leaflets among the people.

Lakshmipur municipality unit BNP Member Secretary Tofazzal Hossain Bachchu, Joint Convener Ashraf Hossain Patwari, Ramganj upazila unit Chhatra Dal Convener Zahir Raihan Babu, and Chhatra Dal leader Md Mamun were apprehended in the Kalabagan area this afternoon, police and the party sources said.

The arrestees were accused in various sabotage cases, according to Ramganj police sources.

They have been kept in police custody and will be produced before a court in the district.
