The ruling Awami League (AL) has conceded seven parliamentary seats for its allies of 14-party alliance to contest in the upcoming parliamentary election.
Sources at the 14-party alliance said in a meeting on Thursday night, the AL leaders confirmed the leaders of components of the alliance that the ruling party is going to concede seven seats for the allies.
AL senior leader and 14-party coordinator Amir Hossain Amu confirmed it to the Daily Sun.
As per the understanding, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Inu) will get Kushtia-2, Laxmipur-4 and Bogura-4 constituencies while Workers Party of Bangladesh will get Barishal-3, Rajshahi-2 and Satkhira-1 constituencies and Jatiya Party (JP) will get Pirojpur-2 constituency.
